When she becomes old enough, she enters the kingdom's knight trials, determined to prove herself. As her final trial, Cynthia is sent deep into a forest to retrieve a branch from the Sacred Tree. Having played in the area with her father when she was younger, she expects the task to be simple. However, she discovers a mysterious cave that she has never seen before. Inside the cave, Cynthia encounters a strange girl who claims to be a Mana Spirit. The spirit warns her that enemy forces are gathering and asks Cynthia to investigate the threat. She also offers Cynthia a special power that could help her in the battles ahead. Cynthia accepts the mission and begins an adventure that will take her across the kingdom, fighting monsters, uncovering the source of the growing threat, and proving whether she has what it takes to become a true Holy Paladin.
